Resident Bios
Tarik Omar
A musician, producer, curator and DJ. He loves to dip in and out of different genres, floating between african hi-life to jazz effortlessly. He’s also known to pull out a synth or drum machine to all a little extra flavour to his sets at Nightjar
Artifact Sun
Artifact Sun is one of the various musical expressions of Emirati musician, selector, and curious listener Mariam Al Askari. With every sound, pulse or drone, Mariam’s ears light up. Varieties of records have made their way to her modest but growing collection: from classic LPs to crunchy old 7-inches, and ‘dollar bin’ gems. Spend time relishing vintage reggae and dub, or soul classics both from and beyond the Atlantic coasts. It won’t be long before mathy synth or guitar riffs break in to join the groove. With tracks spanning genres and continents, Artifact Sun rises in different corners of the music universe, looking for the links and frictions between.
ALMO ١٠٠
Dubai-born and bred, almo١٠٠’s musical journey is as global as it is eclectic. Having spent formative years in Glasgow and Sydney, he honed his sound through the rich and varied influences of these vibrant cities. An avid record collector, almo١٠٠ is as comfortable flipping through crates of rare vinyl as he is curating digital gems. He curates his music not by genre but from the ever-expansive world of dance records, delivering sets that are immersive, unpredictable, and deeply rooted in his passion for the art of DJing.

At Nightjar Coffee, we do things a little differently. By that, we mean providing a healthy work-life balance, encouraging freedom of expression and creativity, and ensuring a safe space for staff and customers to feel welcome.
Exclusivity is for the entitled, and we can’t relate to that mindset.

Recently, we removed our brand from Meta platforms because of harmful and anti-inclusive behavior. We do not tolerate bullying here, so the decision was simple: do not support businesses that don’t carry a moral compass.
